St Margaret Scout Group,

City Of Hull (East Hull).

The Scout Section is for young people, usually aged between 10½ and 14 years.

Scouts are the third section of the Scouting movement. From the first experimental camp for 20 boys in 1907, the movement now has an estimated 28 million members worldwide, and in the UK alone there are over 499,000 boys and girls involved in Scouting.

St Margaret Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme. Participation rather than meeting set standards is the key approach, and for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or her achievements there are a number of Challenges awards and activity badges.

St Margaret Scouts meet on a Thursday night at 7:30pm and finish at 9:00pm

St Margaret Scout leader: Stuart Lane

As pictured here on the scouts trip to Switzerland in 2010:

Stuart was originally a scout at St Margaret's and joined the group in 2000. Stuart was a helper in the beaver section back when Harvey was in beavers so he has lots of experience of Scouting roles.

Stuart's assistant leaders include Harvey and Lyn

Harvey Lenham                                                        Lyn

Harvey joined the group in 1999 as a beaver and has progressed through then started as a young leader whilst in the district explorer section and now is an assistant leader. Harvey is also an active member of the network scouts.

Lyn joined the group in 2008 after moving from somewhere down south. Lyn has many years experience as a beaver and a cub leader in somerset.
