This site is aimed at keeping you up to date with what is happening at the group.
Who and What are we?
St Margaret Scout Group East Hull (SMSG) is a Scout Group based in East Hull, at St Michaels And All Angels Church on Holderness Road (please see map below). We complete a programme of survial and life skills that help the development of children and adults. We regularly go camping and have various fun days for everyone to get involved. Please contact the Group Scout Leader for more information.
A Brief History.
St Margaret Of Scotland East Hull Scout Group was established in 1959 the same year that the church bearing the same name on Longhill estate was set up as a daughter church to St Michael And All Angels where the group is located now. SMSG was located at St Margarets church until unforeseeable events occurred that forced a move to Eastmount School. A successful period at the school was ended due to the distruction of the school which resulting in SMSG meeting at St Michael And All Angels. Our scouts went on a trip to Switzerland for their summer camp of 2010.
Award Winning Explorers »
2 Explorers from St Margaret Scout Group were presented with awards by Richard Frith, the Bishop of Hull. Jamie has been voted ' East Hull Explorer' of the Year for 2010. Then Evie was presented with the "Admirals Cup" for been selected by the County DESC committee as "Young Leader" of the Year for 2010.
